Knight Overview
| Role | Frontline Tank |
| Damage Type | Physical |
| Weapon | Sword + Shield |
| Base HP | 130 (highest in game) |
| Base Armor | 45 (highest in game) |
| Base Attack | Medium |
| Difficulty | Low — best class for beginners |
| Tier | S Tier |
The Knight is TBH's premier tank and the foundation of almost every competitive party. With the highest base HP (130) and armor (45) in the game, the Knight absorbs damage that would delete squishier classes. Beyond raw survivability, the Knight brings party-wide defensive utility through damage reduction auras and protective shields that scale beautifully into late-game content.
The Knight is the best class for new players — it requires low gear investment to be effective, has a simple but rewarding playstyle, and forms the core of both beginner and endgame team compositions.

Best Knight Skills
Unyielding Will (Active) — Tier 5
Active skill unlocked at Tier 5 (40 skill points spent). Provides a powerful defensive effect. This is the Knight's ultimate defensive cooldown — invest points here after your core passives are established.
Aegis Field (Active) — Priority 4
Creates a party-wide damage absorption shield. Pairs perfectly with Unyielding Will: damage is reduced, then what remains hits the shield. Essential for surviving boss damage spikes and AoE-heavy fights. Max level 5, 1 point yields the skill — invest more as needed for shield strength.
Retribution Strike (Active) — Tier 2
When the Knight blocks an attack, retaliate with a counter-strike dealing physical damage. Transforms your tank into a passive damage dealer — the more you're attacked, the more damage you deal. Available after spending 10 skill points.
Piercing Thrust (Active) — Tier 1
A direct attack that deals physical damage. Your basic active skill. Max this first for the hybrid DPS build — the damage scales well for a tank.
Shield Charge (Active) — Tier 1
Gap-closer with damage. Use to initiate fights and reposition. Available from the start alongside Piercing Thrust.
Sacred Blade (Active) — Tier 4
Unlocked at Tier 4 (30 skill points). A powerful weapon-based attack. Invest after your core defensive layers are solid.
Block Chance (Passive Tree) — Tier 3+
Increases your shield block chance. Every point also improves Retribution Strike's effective DPS. Available at Tiers 3 and 6.
Best Knight Tank Build
Best for: Hard content pushing, Nightmare/Hell difficulty, boss fights, parties where other members provide all the damage.
| Skill | Max? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Health Enhancement | Max (Lv8) | +120 HP. Core tank stat. |
| Armor Enhancement | Max (Lv8) | +80 Armor. Tier 2 skill. |
| Block Chance | Max (Lv10) | +3% block per level. Tiers 3 + 6. |
| Retribution Strike | Max (Lv5) | Counter-attack on block. Tier 2. |
| HP Regen Enhancement | Max (Lv5) | +500 HP regen. Tiers 2 + 5. |
| HP Per Kill | Max (Lv10) | +30 HP per kill. Tiers 3 + 6. |
| Aegis Field | 1-3 pts | Party shield. 1 point for the skill, more for scaling. |
| Unyielding Will | 1-3 pts | Tier 5 ultimate. Powerful but expensive to reach. |
| Sacred Blade | Optional | Tier 4 active. Offense option. |
| Attack Dmg Enhancement | 3 pts max | Tiny investment for +3 damage. Tier 1. |
Pure Tank Gear Priority
HP > Armor > Resistance > Block Chance > Everything Else
Stack HP on every piece of gear. The Knight's defensive skills scale with max HP, creating a virtuous cycle: more HP → stronger shields → more survival → more blocks → more Retribution damage. Resistance comes third because elemental damage bypasses armor.
Knight DPS Tank Build
Best for: Mid-game farming, 3-hero parties where every member needs to contribute damage, faster stage clearing.
| Skill | Max? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Health Enhancement | Max (Lv8) | Still mandatory — tank foundation. Tiers 1 + 4. |
| Piercing Thrust | Max (Lv5) | Main damage skill. Tier 1. |
| Shield Charge | Max (Lv5) | Damage + mobility. Tier 1. |
| Retribution Strike | Max (Lv5) | Passive damage on block. Tier 2. |
| Sacred Blade | Max (Lv5) | Weapon attack. Tier 4. |
| Aegis Field | 1 pt | 1 point for emergency shield. Tier 3. |
| Block Chance | 2-5 pts | Less than pure tank — you're spending points on damage. |
Hybrid Gear Priority
HP > Attack Power > Armor > Crit Rate > Crit Damage
You still need HP to survive, but now weave in offensive stats. Aim for roughly 60% survivability / 40% damage in your stat budget. This build only works once you have decent gear — don't attempt hybrid as a fresh account.
Knight Gear & Stats

Best Party Combos for Knight
Best Partners
- Priest: The Knight's soulmate. Priest buffs multiply Knight's effective HP (Blessing of Warding) and damage (Blessing Of Might). Together they form an unkillable core. Sanctuary from Priest also covers the Knight's weakness to magic damage.
- Hunter: Frost Bolt freeze gives the Knight breathing room during damage spikes. Explosive Bolt cleans up mobs while Knight holds aggro.
- Ranger: Safe, consistent backline damage. Low maintenance — the Knight can focus on survival while Ranger chips away.
Synergy With Slayer (Late Game)
In 4-hero parties, Knight + Slayer is a powerful dual-frontline. Knight tanks while Slayer deals damage. If you only have 3 slots, choose one or the other — they compete for the front-line position.
